We are a New Zealand-based business specializing in quality, NZ-made sheds that are made to order, avoiding conveyor belt processes.
Our sheds feature .40 gauge roofing steel, which is nearly twice as thick as the steel used in boxed sheds and is commonly used on houses throughout New Zealand.
This makes our sheds sturdier than many others on the market.
**Custom-Made Floors**
We create custom-made floors tailored to your specific site, ensuring you receive a personalized shed that meets your needs and adds real value to your home.
**Do I Need a Wooden Floor?**
No, a wooden floor is not require. However, we recommend securing your shed to some form of base, such as a concrete pad.
**Timber Floor**
All timber floors are treated with a minimum of H3.1 rough sawn timber for durability.
**Can We Deliver a Pre-Made Shed On-Site?**
Yes, we can deliver sheds on-site as long as you have a 2.5-meter-wide access way for our trailer to back into.
We prefer to install on-site to ensure the best finish possible.
**Can We Ship to the South Island?**
Currently, we do not ship to the South Island.
**Can We Deliver Anywhere in the North Island?**
Yes, we can deliver pre-built sheds up to 2.36 meters wide and any kitset shed within the North Island.
We personally handle all deliveries, ensuring your shed goes directly from the factory to your front door with minimal handling.
**Can I Have a Sliding Door?**
At this time, we do not offer sliding doors.
We believe that internal doors take up valuable space, while external doors can be easier to pull off.
Hinged doors provide better strength and maximize space and security.
**Does the Shed Have a Timber Frame?**
Our design eliminates the need for a timber frame.
The solid panels support each other and become very strong once assembled.
We can add timber for wall linings, shelving, etc.

*What Tools Will I Need to Assemble the Shed Myself?*
You will need a rivet gun, hammer, drill, 1/8-inch drill bit, and a measuring tape. Having a friend or two to help will also be beneficial.
**Do I Need Building Consent?**
It is 1st Choice Garden Sheds’ understanding, you do not require a permit for sheds under 30 square meters.
However, please check your local council regulations regarding distances to fences, boundaries, and other structures.
**How Level Should the Site Be?**
Whether we assemble the shed or you do it yourself, it’s important to ensure the site is flat and clear.
Properly prepared foundations help the shed function as intended, including the doors.
Please inform us of any slopes or irregularities prior to purchase so we can quote and supply the necessary materials for your site.

**Consumer Guarantees Act 1993**
The provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply to these terms, and in case of a conflict, the provisions of that Act will take precedence.
**Limitation of Liability**
1st Choice Garden Sheds is not liable for any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, use, or performance of our products.
Please note that regular maintenance, including cleaning the channels on the roof, is essential for the care of your shed.
All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include 15% GST unless stated otherwise.
